This policy describes how Pexper ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Pexper application and website (pexper.com).
The short version
Pexper is a local-first application. Your workflows, API keys, and generated content stay on your device. We collect the minimum amount of data needed to process purchases and improve the product. We don't sell your data. We don't track what you create.
1. What we collect
Information you provide directly
- Email address — when you join the waitlist or create an account
- Payment information — when you purchase Pexper (processed by our payment processor — we never see or store your card details)
- Support requests — when you contact us for help
Information we never collect
- API keys — stored locally on your device only. Never transmitted to our servers.
- Workflow data — your workflows, prompts, and node configurations stay on your device.
- Generated content — everything AI models create through Pexper belongs to you and stays local.
- AI provider traffic — we do not intercept, log, or route any communication between your device and AI providers.
Information collected automatically (optional, can be disabled)
- Anonymous usage analytics — which features are used, session duration, crash-free rate. No personal identifiers. No content data.
- Crash reports — anonymized error data to help us fix bugs. Contains stack traces and device information, never personal data.
You can disable both of these in Pexper's settings at any time.
2. How we use your information

We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell or share your data with third parties for their marketing purposes.
3. AI provider data
When you use AI providers through Pexper (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.):
- Your prompts and data go directly from your device to the provider. Pexper does not route, intercept, store, or log this traffic.
- Each provider has their own data handling policies. We recommend reviewing them.
When you use local models (Ollama, LM Studio, Apple MLX), no data leaves your device at any point.
4. Third-party services
We use a limited number of third-party services to operate Pexper. These services only process the minimum data required for their function.
5. Data storage and security
- Pexper is a desktop application. Your workflows, settings, and API keys are stored locally on your device.
- We do not operate servers that store user content.
- Website data (email addresses, purchase records) is stored with industry-standard encryption.
- We use HTTPS for all web communications.
6. Your rights
If you're in the EU (GDPR)
You have the right to: access your data, correct inaccurate data, delete your data, restrict processing, data portability, and object to processing.
If you're in California (CCPA)
You have the right to: know what data we collect, request deletion, and opt out of data sales (we don't sell data).
For everyone
- Unsubscribe from product emails at any time
- Disable analytics and crash reports in Pexper's settings
- Request deletion of your account and data by emailing privacy@pexper.com
- Export your data by requesting a copy at privacy@pexper.com
We respond to all data requests within 30 days.
7. Children's privacy
Pexper is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by email and post a notice on pexper.com at least 30 days before the changes take effect.
